Lead Mechanical Engineer and Product Designer. I owned the aesthetic profile, operational assemblies, and all hardware design from concept and testing to production.
Resolved a critical load-bearing vulnerability at the primary mounting points. Instead of utilizing an expensive, fully cast metal piece, I engineered a precision zinc insert component that slots directly into an injection-molded plastic endcap.

Managed the transition to remove PFAS from active hardware components on Luminette® and Pirouette® lines by auditing bills of materials, testing alternative polymer resins and lubricants, and updating part geometries to maintain original wear profiles.
Redesigned the Luminette® cord shroud mechanism to fully enclose accessible cords, ensuring a single new architecture successfully passed varying Canadian, US, and international safety tests.

Redesigned the functional and decorative endcaps to hold a flush magnetic charging adapter hidden from view once installed, driving $1.54 million in incremental annual sales growth across the Pirouette® and Silhouette® product lines.
Positioned the internal parts and adapter mount to add charging functionality, retaining the current aesthetics and original side light gap dimensions.
